Is there anything to explain here really? Gretsch Jet Firebird with heavy gauge strings and holding down that tight rhythm that even the biggest of virtuosos would be envious of. Although the focus during live performances of "Let There Be Rock" was always on Angus, just take a listen to Malcolm Young playing his parts without any single mistake during this extremely long version of the song. It's as if he, Cliff Williams, and Phil Rudd have metronomes stuck in their brains or something.
But we would also like to use the opportunity and mention that he was also a lead player at some point. Before AC/DC, Malcolm and Angus played in Marcus Hook Roll Band. The solo on "Silver Shoes and Strawberry Wine" is played by Malcolm.
