Nick Menza
Late drummer Nick Menza contributed a very necessary, technically skilled performance to Megadeth’s revolutionary ‘Rust in Peace’ album. The use of hanging cymbals from a rack above his kit helped to bring in a more concussive sound as the cymbals were able to sustain longer as well as provide a unique stamp on the record. He remained in the group for the next three records, including the hit ‘Countdown to Extinction.’ Menza also performed on three of fellow bandmate Marty Friedman’s solo albums.
