Motorhead Call It Quits After the Loss of a Member
You may recall that the last few months of 2015 and the first few of 2016 were rather rough for the music world. One of the losses rock and metal endured was the legendary Lemmy Kilmister, who died very soon after being diagnosed with cancer.
Drummer Mikkey Dee confirmed that Motorhead would cease to tour and make music without Lemmy. “Motörhead is over, of course. Lemmy was Motörhead,” he told Swedish publication Expressen.
“We won’t be doing any more tours or anything. And there won’t be any more records. But the brand survives, and Lemmy lives on in the hearts of everyone.”
