Diary of a Madman Tour: Ozzy Osbourne / UFO / Starfighters
Loudwire once ranked Ozzy’s first two albums (Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman) as his best; thus, this international journey (which lasted until August) captured the Prince of Darkness at his solo peak. If we could pick specific shows, it’d be either the Jan. 20 one in Des Moines, Iowa, (when Ozzy famously bit a real bat) or Randy Rhoads’ final show in Knoxville, Tenn. on March 18. Undoubtedly, it was a particularly historic trek (for both good and bad reasons), and with support from the iconic UFO and the short-lived Starfighters, there was a lot to love.
