The Beast on the Road Tour: Iron Maiden
Obviously, Iron Maiden were commemorating The Number of the Beast with new singer Bruce Dickinson. They played nearly 200 shows (across nearly 20 countries) from February to December, with characteristically badass visual accompaniments and a program that acknowledged their first three LPs equally.
That alone makes us want to relive the tour; however, the icing on the cake comes from the fact that Iron Maiden opened for Rainbow, Scorpions and Judas Priest in North America on different legs. Respectively, those acts were promoting Straight Between the Eyes, Blackout and Screaming for Vengeance, so the entire run would’ve been phenomenal to behold.
