The Doors first interview without Jim. The first interview with the Doors after Jim's death was done in November 1971 [published on November 19th 1971 in Philadelphia Daily News] So this is less than six months after Jim's death. The attitude of the band is astounding - how are they so callous re. Jim's recent death? "We finished up the L.A. Woman album last Spring. Our contract with the record company was now concluded, and Jim had run off to Paris. Frankly, we weren't sure if there was any future left for us." [Robby Krieger] Jim 'ran off' to Paris! "The way he died caught us by surprise. I always expected him to jump off a building or something like that. Not a very healthy way to get airplay." [Ray Manzarek] Jim died to get more airplay! "[Other Voices, first album without Jim] it's probably the most positive recording we've ever made." [John Densmore] Other Voices bears no comparison with any of the albums they did with Jim! It is a terrible album. What is going on here?
