Who do you like better, Bon Scott or Brian johnson? Bon Scott. Brian Johnson was a decent replacement but Bon had the better look and voice for ACDC. ACDC albums with Bon were all different, but the first three or four albums with Brian all sound the same.

Bon Scott was a great frontman, and Brian Johnson doesnt have that same charm. All the old songs originally sung by Bon Scott dont sound as good with Brian Johnson singing them. Like you said he was a decent replacement.

Like you said he was a decent replacement. ACDC will always be Bon Scott. The first album with Brian (Back in Black) was the second biggest selling album behind Michael Jackson's "Thriller", not bad for a debut album for Brian and was an album with so many great songs, but "For Those About to Rock", "Flick of the Switch" and "Fly on the Wall" were average. No great songs and all sounding the same. But Brian could perform live!!

Bon Scott is my fav BUT you cannot EVER NOT include Brian for BACK IN BLACK........kinda like Van Halen - Lee Roth best BUT Hagar is also a MUST
I was too young (no pun LOL) to ever see ACDC with Bon live as they went to the UK when I was 13yo/14yo. My first ACDC purchase was JAILBREAK in 1975 as a 11yo & still remains mt all time fav Accadacca song. I am a guitar player & my first High School Band called Talis Freeway included Justin Stanley (Noiseworks) & Dean Manning (Leanardo's Bride) - tep, I'm like the 5th beatle LOL - BUT WE ALWAYS PLAYED Hi Voltage & Long Way to the Top........if u want a sausage roll
I own a Gibson SG, still to this day - This is what Angus plays. Angus is my ALL TIME INSPIRATION
Most under valued ERA was just before Highway To Hell - Riff Raff, Rosie, Rock N Roll Damnation, Bad Boy Boogie, Let There Be Rock etc - their LIVE album before Highway To Hell is still my fav Album, then Back In Black & Highway to Hell (equal 2nd)
First ACDC concert 1980 SCG B A C K I N B L A C K T O U R YEP, got to hear the whole Album LIVE & EARLY, concert opened with HELLS BELLS
So it is IMPOSSIBLE not to include Brian as Bon's EQUAL for the Back In Black material having SEEN &* HEARD Brian perform it
Most underappreciated Riff - Givin the Dog a Bone - incredibly the main Riff is played using 1 note and then playing the same note an octave higher and using syncopating rhythm with ONE SINGLE NOTE - every song ever invented in the history of music uses more than 1 note to stimulate the listener - just proves WHY ACDC always sounded familiar to your ears the first time you heard them - absolute MASTERS OF ROCK - sounds easy but really so clever and creative

To play in a band would have been heaps of fun. Any other bands you're into? I was also too young to see Bon or even buy an album at the time, when Bon died I was only 6 years old. I didn't buy my first ACDC album which was T.N.T until 1987. Been a heavy metal / hard rock fan since then. I got to purchase Metallica albums as they were released in the late 80's. I'm a fan of all Bon Scott albums, but unfortunately can only really get into Back in Black featuring Brian Johnson. After Bon, ACDC for me is more of a pop band with commercial success appealing to a wider audience than just their hardcore fans in the 1970s. But many ACDC fans like the band after Bon.
