I think Ozzy has been paranoid ever since.

I think Ozzy has been paranoid ever since. Can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually prefer Ronnie James Dio as singer. The album Heaven and Hell (1980) is my favourite. Mob Rules (1981) was a decent album too and then the live album the following year. But then Ronnie left.

I honestly dont know to much at all about Black Sabbath, they were never big in the US. Ozzy did have a reality show here though and many people found out about him then.

I guess only heavy metal fans knew about Black Sabbath in the States, whereas Led Zeppelin and ACDC appealed to a wider audience. I wasn't a fan of Ozzy's show and same with Gene Simmons. Not interested in their personal lives, just their music.
